Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Amicus Shipping LLC ("we", "us") handles information when you use sim.amicusshippingllc.com to buy a travel eSIM.
Information we collect
- Email address — to verify it's yours, deliver your eSIM QR code, and provide support.
- Device compatibility self-certification — the phone model you select and your confirmation that it is eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked.
- Order details — the plan purchased, price, and any coupon used.
- Account and rewards details — profile information you provide, preferences, saved destinations, referrals and store-credit records.
- Feedback and support — order notes, setup checklists and messages you submit. These are used internally to handle your purchase and support.
- Connection reports — destination, rating, comment, optional display name and device information you choose to publish.
- Crew enquiries — contact, company, approximate crew size, route and message details provided in the enquiry form.
- IP address & technical data — used for fraud prevention, rate limiting, and abuse/intrusion detection.
How we use it
- Provision and deliver your eSIM.
- Confirm you control the email that receives the eSIM.
- Prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. temporary blocks after repeated unverified attempts).
- Provide customer support and keep records required for accounting.
Service providers (sub-processors)
We share the minimum necessary data with:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Mailgun — sending verification codes and eSIM delivery emails.
- Our hosting/database provider — to operate the service.
- Our eSIM provisioning provider — to fulfil the selected plan and handle provisioning issues.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to maintain sign-in, email-verification and compatibility status during checkout. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Service analytics
When enabled, privacy-focused analytics help us understand page visits and steps such as plan selection, email verification, checkout and delivery. Event properties are restricted to information such as the plan, currency, destination count and step outcome. We do not include email addresses, names, QR codes, activation codes, payment details or device identifiers in these event properties. Analytics services may receive technical request information needed to serve the request. Operational outcome counts may also be recorded in our service logs.
Public connection reports
Connection reports are public only when you choose to publish them. Your email, order notes and support messages are not displayed with a report. The public report can include your chosen display name, rating, comment, destination, plan, optional device model and date. A verified-purchase indicator means we checked ownership of an eligible delivered order; it does not verify every statement in a report.
A one-time store-credit reward may be offered for completing a connection report and device questions. The reward is the same for positive or negative ratings, and is disclosed alongside public reports. Contact us if you want to withdraw a published report.
Data retention
Verification codes expire within ~15 minutes and are pruned within 24 hours. Security/abuse logs are kept up to 90 days. Order records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. Depending on your location (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights regarding your data.
